Litter collection and proper waste disposal are essential to keeping our communities clean and sustainable. Local residents can use the Convenience Centers located throughout the area for safe disposal and recycling of household waste. Citizens for a Better Eastern Shore (CBES)
Citizens for a Better Eastern Shore (CBES) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting balanced growth, environmental stewardship, and civic engagement on Virginia’s Eastern Shore.
CBES Board members founded Waste Watchers in 2009. CBES continues to promote responsible management of waste on the Shore, including a monthly “Recycling Corner” column in their newsletter – Shoreline.

🚗 VDOT Adopt-A-Highway Program
