Children’s Essay Contest

Each year, Waste Watchers proudly sponsors a Children’s Essay Contest open to students in grades K through 12. Participants share their thoughts on protecting our environment, and the best essays receive cash awards

Winners also get the special opportunity to read their essays on WESR radio, helping inspire others across the Eastern Shore.

How to Enter

Option 1: Enter online by filling out the form below.


Option 2: Click here to download the entry form  Print , fill , and email it to WasteWatchers.ESVA@gmail.com .

Write a 30 second radio ad on the subject, “What do you think happens to the trash people throw along the road?” Just say what’s on your mind or in your heart that you want other people to hear. End it with “I’m (your name) and I’m a Waste Watcher.”
